Carolina Panthers Welcome First Female Coaching Intern

In June, Jennifer King was greeted with pomp and circumstance when she arrived to the Carolina Panthers minicamp as their first female coaching intern. Before accepting her position with the Panthers, King was the head women’s basketball at coach at Charlotte’s Johnson & Wales, which she led to a national title last year. According to The Charlotte Observer, King dreamt of becoming a coach with the Carolina Panthers since she was a young child, but was hardly given the opportunity to achieve this goal. But after years of hard work, perseverance and never giving up on her dream, King proved that the seemingly impossible is, in fact, possible.
