I sincerely hope you brought your appetite for this issue. From foodie getaways to a contemporary sushi bar right in our very backyard, this issue brings the heat (to the kitchen). Jokes aside, the October issue is dedicated to the delicious tastes–savory, sweet and everything in between–in our wonderful community.

It has been such a joy working with wonderful restauranteurs, chefs and creative minds to craft this issue. Our team is especially excited to bring you feature about O-Ku, a South End sushi bar that puts an innovative twist on traditional Asian dishes and offers a darn good cocktail list (page xx). Without giving too much away, the restaurant’s avant-garde style is present in both of their flawlessly crafted menu items and their marvelous dining room.

This month we also bring you two travel features. One is dedicated to a seaside town that is just too perfect too be disliked (page xx), while the other is about a variety of foodie destinations (page xx). (If you haven’t heard of chocotourism, all of your dessert dreams are about to come true.)

As always, thank you to each and every person for reading our magazine. We strive to shine a light on people and experiences that make this town amazing and to inspire you each month. Your feedback is always welcome, wanted and needed as our publication aims to represent our local community in the best possible way.

From my kitchen to yours,

Emily Shea, Editor
