Carolina Renaissance Festival
The annual Carolina Renaissance Festival and Marketplace will be held on Saturdays and Sundays in Huntersville, North Carolina, from Oct. 5 to Nov. 24. The festival brings renaissance history alive with a 25-acre village nestled in the forest and meadows, complete with castles, cottages, kitchens and pubs. The festival will offer live entertainment from costumed characters, fun games and rides, more than 100 artisans displaying their craft and authentic Renaissance bites. Les Misérables Live in Charlotte
From Oct. 29–Nov. 3, one of the most celebrated musicals in theatrical history, Les Misérables, will be acted out live at Charlotte’s largest performing arts theater, Ovens Auditorium. There will be eight shows offered, two matinees and six in the evening. Created by Cameron Mackintosh, the show is a new rendition of the classic Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg production. There will be new staging and dazzlingly reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo.
2019 Whitewater Film Series
The U.S. National Whitewater Center will kick off its 2019 Whitewater Film Series on Oct. 4. The series will showcase a variety of outdoor feature-length films from across the globe every Friday evening at sunset during the month of October. Attendees will have a chance to experience the active, outdoor lifestyle from the perspectives of those living it to the fullest in these films. The series will begin with Andy Irons: Kissed by God, a documentary film about the untold story of one of the world’s most prolific surfers. The series will continue on Oct. 11, 18 and 25. The Great Pumpkin Fest Continues at Carowinds
Let the fall festivities continue! Carowinds invites you to join Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the entire Peanuts gang for The Great Pumpkin Fest, a family-friendly festival that features a costume parade, a hay bale maze, a tractor tour and more. Acosta Heating & Cooling Gives Away $12,000 Air Conditioning System
This past summer, Acosta Heating and Cooling and The Link 107.9 teamed up, giving away 30 tickets a Charlotte Knights game and one $12,000 high-efficiency Lennox air conditioning system to a lucky winner at the game on July 4.
