The invited welcomed local celebrities, dignitaries, civic leaders, volunteers and public officials that support UNCF’s mission of investing in Better Futures® for us all by getting students to and through college.

Halifax Convention Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution donated over $3,400 for local veterans at their annual Christmas Luncheon. Their speaker, Chas Fagan, shared stories of his life as an artist. He has several high-profile commissions, including a statue of President Reagan in the U.S. Capitol and a sculpture of Rosa Parks in the Washington National Cathedral.

The Charlotte Community ToolBank held its 6th annual Hammers & Ales fundraiser on September 8, at C3 Lab in South End. Attendees enjoyed music from Coconut Grove Band, food from Noble Smoke and beer tastings provided by Kit's Trackside Crafts and Tryon Distributing. All proceeds from the event benefitted the Charlotte Community ToolBank.
