This past summer, Mainstream Boutique teamed up with the nationally recognized natural hair care company Rucker Roots and South Charlotte Lifestyle to offer locals a luxury shopping experience. The event offered guests free valet parking, exclusive deals, complimentary drinks and giveaways.

Carepoint Home Care Agency celebrated its 10th anniversary in May. Over the past decade, Carepoint has provided comprehensive and quality in-home care services to elderly adults throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. Carepoint was founded in 2009 by Heather and Brian Rahrig.

Carmel Christian School celebrated 25 years of providing transformational education by hosting its Silver Anniversary Gala in May. The gala honored the past and celebrated the present, all while raising funds for the Carmel Education Foundation so they can continue to build the future. Attendees enjoyed live music, a delicious dinner and a silent auction. 

Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend celebrated its 31st year of fundraising with more than 20 events April 24–27. The signature and largest event, The Grand Tasting, was a great night of wine, food, fun and fundraising. The sold-out event featured a selection of more than 100 carefully curated wines from around the globe, mouthwatering bites from Charlotte's culinary artisans and exclusive silent auction items.

The Crown Jewels Chapter of The Links, Inc. hosted its 15th annual Mardi Gras Gala at the Le Meridian Hotel in Uptown Charlotte. The event featured a silent auction, dancing, food and drinks, a mask contest and more. The proceeds raised at the gala go toward funding for the Foundation's programs and scholarships. The fifth annual UNCF Charlotte Mayor's Masked Ball was held at the Charlotte Marriott City Center March 9. The invited welcomed local celebrities, dignitaries, civic leaders, volunteers and public officials that support UNCF’s mission of investing in Better Futures® for us all by getting students to and through college.

South Charlotte Lifestyle Magazine celebrated its third anniversary with readers and marketing partners at Burton's Grill and Bar of Charlotte March 12. South Charlotte Lifestyle would like to thank those who came out to celebrate as well as Burton's for providing us with such a wonderful event space, great food and delicious drinks. 

The Wells Fargo Kick-Off Dinner was Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend's opening event for its 31st year of fundraising. This year’s gala, once again held on the 41st floor of the One Wells Fargo building in Uptown, featured special guest Pablo Álvarez, owner and CEO of Tempos Vega Sicilia, Spain’s pre-eminent and most iconic winery.
